The Allotment Wife

Must Be Spring!

A lovely morning on the allotment today. The daffodils are really going for it now, even in beds they’re not supposed to be in – such as the beetroot bed, LOL! Which just goes to show Nature always has the last word.

Mind you, the tulips are also going for it in the beetroot bed, so must be something about the lure of beetroot …

And we now have another rhubarb which has joined the rhubarb that started early, so at least it’s not on its own any more, hurrah.

Rhubarb 2

So here is the usual harvest (for the time of year) of beetroot and daffodils:

And here is the vase at home:

Have a lovely weekend, everyone.

  1. Good morning.

I have just finished reading your book “A year in the allotment” and must say I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and hearing about your allotment escapades with K.

I have just signed up for an allotment myself and am first on the list with one being available soon, or so I’m told (woohoo!) So it’s nice to see you still have your plot and will be reading with avid enthusiasm.

Thanks again for a wonderful read!
